What is a Faceclaim?
A Faceclaim is the usage of a pre-existing character for the appearance of your character.

On B:BL, we only approve of the usage of anime-style characters. Characters in cartoon-style , comic book-style, or real life characters are not allowed. If the character you wish to use is an original creation, when you make your claim, reserve, or share, replace the "Series from" with the artist who created the work.

Once an appearance has been claimed by someone, no one else can use that claim. The only exception is a share. To get a share, the original claimer must give the new claimer permission to use it. Use the template below for this.

If you're wanting to use a specific appearance, you can make a reserve. A reserve lasts for two weeks, giving you time to complete the application. A reserve can be re-reserved once. This will give you another two weeks. However, when the second reserve is done, that person cannot reserve it for a week, giving someone else the chance to use it.

To make a reserve, claim, or share, you must post it in your own Faceclaim thread within the Faceclaim Center.

Legacy Claims
A Legacy Claim is one that cannot be used and will not expire, even if the person holding it leaves the site. A legacy claim is only granted for a character that has impacted the site's lore/history in a big way.
